Milk Culturing (In-House Milk Lab)
Milk culturing completed in our in-house milk lab is used to detect and identify microbes in milk. We recommend conducting a milk culture whenever you have a new mastitis case to aid in treatment decisions and monitor trends. We also recommend milk culture tests when you introduce new cows to the herd, a noticeable increase in mastitis cases, or test for treatment efficacy.
Parasite Analysis
Internal and external parasites can not only affect the health of your dairy cows, but they can also spread through your herd. The Gull Lake Veterinary Services team can screen for parasites that may be affecting your dairy cattle. By quickly identifying parasites, you can treat your affected cows before those parasites can spread to the rest of your herd.
